I have a 99 SRX 700 with a Bender clutch kit, other than the kit the sled is totally stock. The kit is nice but the sled is very tame and the tach seems to struggle to hit shift speed when I get on the gas. I am wondering if increasing the secondary spring tension will help the engine jump to shift speed a little quicker. I want to see the tach jump when I get on the gas not slowly climb to 8400. I am far from and expert and I am wondering if the secondary spring tension is even the right place to start. If I increase the spring tension will it effect my shift speed or belt wear? I am assuming it won't. I am only looking for a little improvement and would rather not swap out any parts. Any info would be appreciated.
