Seen what there doning on Monster garage? Richard Petty on a Polaris racing a mini coop/snowmobile. This should be interesting. But why Petty? Its on Discovery chan. on Mon.

When King Richard retired years ago, Polaris gave him all sorts of toys and uses him in there atv ad program still to this day. So what Monster Garage is doing is getting advertising money and probably some good old fashioned know how to turn a mini into a sled, and tossing a world wide known figure as Richard Petty into it to help increase ratings.

So the basic formula is:

Petty is cool but one of the Unsers would have been good too because the whole Unser family is huge into snowmobiles.

They're probably letting Petty ride the sled because a few weeks ago he lets them convert a winston cup car into a street sweeper.

They install (2) 800Twin Polais APV engines and (2) 151" Paddle tracks on the Mini.

Also, Petty will be riding the 2004 Polaris 800Prox-R in black and sivler.



Polaris has been a long time sponsor of the Petty teams.

I saw the preview and it looks AWESOME! From the preview Petty is racing the cooper on a stock sled. I am sure Jesse James will have to be the one to drive it. I will tune in tomorrow to see. SWRules
