by buddy is going to be buying a 96 formula ss 670 i know next to nothing about ski-doos and especially things of that age i only know thngs about their race sleds. They are asking 1500$us it looks in good condition the track looks good for about 3-4 seasons 2 if we get some snow i didnet see anything wrong with it it looks real clean anything i should watch for if we go to buy it ?

Not a bad sled ,nice plush ride, decent power. The thing is the F chassis was junk in my opinion.I never really liked the F chassis with the twins in them.My brother has a 97 F-III 600 and it handles much better with the extra wieght in the front. The S chassis with basically the same engine, MXZ 670 or Formula 670 are far better sleds that will out perform the SS in every way except maybe slow trail cruising. The SS should be a decent performing reliable sled but it wouldn't be my 1st choice.

oldyeller: Did you know that the F and S chassis were the same except for the hood and belly pan? ???

Team_ Artic: Several friends had 96SS and they were very good, first year with SC10 rear skid and hydraulic brake. Dino

Team_Artic: It depends on the overall condition of the sled, US$1500 seems about right but again it depends on how good it is. Dino
