80 miles from camp, coming home from the forks my 800 rev-x came to a stop. tried to pull it over and it wouldn't budge. was about 50 deg. but my temp light didn't come on. so come back later to drag it out, twist the clutch wheel and its free. pulled it over and started after 10 pulls. sounds and feels like it's running on 1 cylinder.?? any input would be appreciated

Same problem I had early this year. I would Bet You Smeared a ring I would bet it is the left side. They may give you a new jug but not a new engine. The only way you will get a new engine is if you blow a hole in the case. If you ru it for a distance you may be able to get two new jugs but I wouldn't reccomend that. TYhey have a fix for the 800 HO but not the 600 HO. hopefully you got it on spring break so you have 2 years on th ewarrenty. Otherwise good luck!!

DEMAND A COMPLETELY NEW MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!! And yes you will get one as Doo has been installing new motors in 03 800's all year, so many they ran out of themnma month ago. It's because the line inspection was bad or something in the plant and bad seals were installed or they were installed wrong leaning the clutch side out.

Hmmmm, the warrior is starting to look better to me. I can live with a little harsher ride as long as I know the engine will hold together.

Not trying to slam anybody here but why do people try to restart their sled after it siezes up.No good can come from getting it going again,in fact you will likely cause much more damage than what it had originally. ??? I can sort of understand if its under warranty but I keep hearing this over and over. When I was at DNE this fall he was showing me a 583 cylinder that a guy had siezed and then freed up and drove for another 50 miles or something. The cylinder was destroyed as the grooves were too deep to repair. He said if the guy had towed it in he probably could have got away with a hone job and a new piston.
