I ordered my 04' 600ho sdi this morning and can't wait for snow! Anyone have info or experience with this engine? Will it smoke my XC 700? Was contemplating the 800ho--did I make the right choice? Oh ya had 16inches of fresh powder on the "Tug" April 4th- put on 100 miles that evening of wide open fun. Just wanted to rub it in!

At 70 mph My Rev 600 was beating up my 02 700,the 600 was pulling away,i was surprised, happy that the 600 rocks and yet sad that it beats up the 700.

that's good to know It would have been an easier choice if sdi was available in 800ho but... What is the line on mpg and oil consumption?

I'm not trying to start trouble here but i bet the sdi motor wont get what they are claiming for milage, i seriously doubt anyone is going to see 18-20mpg. Real world rideing will tell, we'll all find out next winter. Again not trying to start a fight it's just my thought on the matter.

you may be right..........I guess we will wait and see, I know I will track my miliage alot more closely next winter with this motor. The guy's running the adrenaline packages may have a shot at that kinda mileage, myself having the gade package with 1.75" track not likely.........but I'm sure that it will still be alot better than the 9-13mpg (imperial) what I 'm use to getting.

There was a guy on here with a Legend "800"SDI running a 136" track and got a best of a little over 17mpg ! After hearing most people with 600HO's getting 15+ mpg this year I would have to believe the 600SDI will get at least 17-19 MPG.

Just my 2c's

Cheers,
Evel

Our 03 REV 600Ho was getting 13mpg. We had 3 revs in our group which were seeing the exact same thing.

THis is based on the 10.6Gallon tank. That worked out to about 210-220km per tank. Now that is already amazing in my opinion. Ive never had a sled get more then 160km on a tank, my Mach got about 130-140km so this is great. Now SDI will be better, I wouldnt be suprized to see 15-17mpg and about 260km per tank if not more.

Time will tell. But this is the future. Clean, Efficent, 2 strokes..
