I recently had a dealer rebuild my engine. After 1 tank of gas I noticed the gasket below the cylinders had a kink, a tank later coolant went everywhere, pto side. Had it replaced kink is back. I was told this is common with 670's. It was the first i have ever heard of this. I looked at all my back issues and can't find anything. was wondering if anyone else has heard of this

you can use one of those automatic center punches to make some logically placed dimples on the gasket surface

I put a piston in a 670 one time and the base gasket blew out right after assembly. After investigating we found out that the holes in the base gasket were too small for the bolt. Almost same size. When I tighten the bolt it twisted the gasket as it grabbed the edge of the hole and tore it. Check the clearance on the gasket first with a bolt to make sure there is enough. And also doo what Hillpounder recommended.

that was very common on the old rotax's. the center punch deal works good and you can also use a little gasket cement to hold them, anyone real familiar w/ rebuilding those always glued them or dimpled the area whether that engine had problems or not, just ins. so they didn't suck the gasket.
