I have an '03 700 SKS and am considering putting the Simmons Flex skiis on it to get more grab in the corners and to do what they claim they will do. The Sidehiller 2 skiis that come stock have the twin carbides but it's hard to find 8 inch carbides for it. Can you put 8 inch carbides on the Simmons'? Anyone upgraded their skiis and regretted it because it didn't make much difference in handling/performance?

Do a search for simmons on this site. I think you will see that everyone that has them loves them. I have a set, and four of the others that I ride with have simmons on their sleds. They are hands down the best thing I have done to my sled and well worth the $400. It handles like a dream, and they do everything they claim.

I don't have an SKS, so I am not familiar with the sidehiller skis. I do have the Simmons Flex skis and they are excellent. Haven't heard anything bad about them from anybody. I would definately get them. As there are 2 carbides, 8 inches would translate to 16 inches of carbide, which is too much. You can get 6, which is plenty!

Thanks for the input. Would you guys say that the new skiis improved cornering/turning to where you didn't have to use as much carbide? I realize that there are 2 on each ski but my dealer told me that the sidehiller 2 ski didn't require as much carbide either (there are 2 carbides on each ski also) and I found that even with 6 that it was still lacking. The SKS is not coupled so accelerating out of turns often points you into the trees and that's why I'm looking for maximum bite up front.

I have been running Simmons for 5 years and love them Have a pair on my 03 800ProX and a pair on my 02 800 RMK. I still trail ride the RMk and find that the Simmons do everything they are supposed to. They also improve flotation in deep snow. You will be very happy with them
