Wondering if anyone has any good pointers for me. I plan on heading to the Big Horns Dec. 27-31. I am looking for a good place to stay and any information that may be helpful for first time adventures. Also, any set up information for ZR 800 EFI would be appreciated. We decided to go to the Horns cuz the last 3 years have had no snow over Christmas in NE MN.

I usually go to the Bighorns a couple times a year. If you go north or Sheriden there are 3 main lodges right at Burgess Junction. Bear Lodge, Big Horn Mountain Lodge, and Arrowhead Lodge. I have not stayed at Big Horn Mountain Lodge but I have heard a lot of bad things about it. Bear Lodge is a great place to stay and there is a good bar thats always busy at night. However, you need to usually make reservations a few months ahead of time to get into there. I think Arrowhead would be your best bet, that is where I usually stay. They have great service and they are very reasonably priced. I can get you numbers for them if you want. If you want more info just PM me.

we went out last msrch snd sd is right in all his info. we stayed at big horn the first night. it was ok. we had a cabin two queen sized beds. no t.v. nice resturant bar. then we stayeed the rest of the time at arrow head. if you need the set up i still have it on my zr 800. if you need let me know i will post it for you when i switch mine back. normaly the best time for snow we have heard is early jan into march depending on snow. also you had better call now for rooms because they book up fast with so little space avaliable.
