I wouldn't paint them, the paint is not going to hold up.

cant you just trade that one in on a new red one?????....i dont think painting it will hold up as these are constantly flexing during operation and the paint will start peeling.

Hey Moose Magnet, once you hit a few moose with that sled this winter, there'll be enough blood on the skid plate to make it a bright red, which shouldn't clash so much with the rest. Just be patient, wait for winter and the trails to open, and I'm sure you'll find those moose.

But... If you want to paint it, I also don't recommend it, try selling the plate and order a red one.
Just my opinion !

There in lies the problem. No one at this time makes a red skid plate. Yellow, black, orange and blue are your only options at this time.

I "USE" my skidplate, so there is no way that paint will stay on it. I ride in ditches a lot, and I am constantely smashing over chunks of snow, so the painted skidplate would soon be back to its original color.

Impact on Painted Plastic when its -10 degrees is just simply gonna break the paint off in a HURRY!

So just swap plates, or take it off alltogether.

I ordered mine with a Orange plate

The reason why I want to paint them because I cant get red a-arm guards and skid plate for a rev, orange, yellow and black are only available.

I have a 04 Black Adren and have similar issues. You have two choices. Either take all the decals off and have an all black sled with the orange accents, which would look cool, or change over to the Yellow Skidplate which will look best on that setup. I personally think SkiDoo over did the decals on the Adren, so I am going to take some off but leave some on. Then I am painting my grills yellow and putting a yellow skid plate on. I wanted to Orange too, but it just won't work with the red.
