Ok I have a brand new 2004 Rev 800HO. I cant seem to get the coupling blocks centered like they are supposed to be. I set all the setting for my weight (175lbs).
thing is even if no one is on the sled it just plops down and the blocks go all the way to the rear. i can lift it back up and when I let go it just plops back down.
is something wrong?
PS this is how it was brand new before I touched it.
thanx

I have a 04 600ho adren and was wondering about suspension setup also, but we have different issues. I have mine setup for my weight just fine. I weigh 215 and I have my center spring on 2 and my rear spring on 3. The sled sits just fine and the coupler blocks are fine. I know they say to only turn the rear spring clockwise from the right or something like that. Did you turn that the wrong way? I have also been told to set the sled up loose until the shock break in. I might do that but haven't decided yet. I figured I would wait for snow first!!

Statik, I have a brand new '04 Renegade X 600HO SDI, and am having the same problem. I went out this weekend to set up the suspension, and noticed the coupling block was against the rear block with no load on the sled???? Lift up the back end...block would go to the front momentarily then move back to the rear. Anyone else with this problem....remedy?

04renx,
I have a new renegade x 600 SDI also, and I do not have this problem. I weigh 250lbs, so I have my rear spring set on 4. When I'm off the sled, the coupling block is toward the front of the sled (which is what it should do). sounds like there's something wrong. I would double-check your rear spring settings, there are only 4 settings, if you go past setting 4 (which is the stiffest) it spring drops down and is actually softer than setting 1. You probably know this, but there are two rear springs, one on each side, make sure you adjust both sides for maximum firmness. Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you except take it back to the dealer to have them look at it.

:slick: The settings for your weight are just a guide line, turn the adjustment block up as high as you need to for the coupling block to center where it should. That may be 2,3 or 4. I found on my 04 Adrenaline I had to use position 4 to center the block while sitting on the sled, while for my weight 3 should have worked according to sticker.

What have you done to your center shock spring? Cranking it up a little should help. Remember, these skids are coupled. The front arm is not independent from the rear arm. They work together. The block should be centered with you on the sled in riding position, not standing next to it.

Got the same issue on mine. Way to much sag. Just over 3 in w/o me on it. Back spring on 4. Shock seems like it has little or no charge as well. Going back to dealer.

This seem to be very common with the Revs, I think weight scale they use needs to be updated, it seems to work a little better with the ZX chassis. My wifes and my bro's revs both set with the coupler blocks all the way back when they are set on the appropriate settings, both had to be set much stiffer.

Anybody talked to a dealer about this yet? Something just doesn't seem right, this was never a problem with my '01 800 X!! It was alway against the front block when there was no load, even when set at 1. Then when it was loaded it would position itself in center of the blocks. What's going on?
