i have a 99 mxz 670 HO. it isnt running at full potencial like everyone says it can do and i think it might be partly the clutch. i would like to know the stock set up and if anyone knows a better stock clutch setup Please let me know. Also if anyone knows what might make the 99 670 HO's not run amazingly on top end like i guess they are supposed to let me know cuzz i think it might be fuel pump or timing or ignition... sound like it could be the problem? PLEASE HELP thanks pete

Stock:

297 ramps
200-290 spring (green blue)
solid pins
53-47 helix @B6 beige spring
25-43 gearing

The stock clutching is fairly good on these.
I find the 53 start angle is too much for most HO's to pull, noticed by low RPMs on the upshift until about 50mph. Get the stock setup to work befor you chase your tail finding the real problem. How many miles? If primary spring is original it for sure time for a new one. If your not the original owner and the sled came from a higher altitude check to make sure hollow pins were not installed. Check to make sure raves are not sticking and change the plug caps.

Give us a better description of what you man by "not at full potential".

How do revs react?
Where are clickers set?
Compression?
Miles?
