Hi i'm Char , and i'm addicted to SPEED I find I need to be on the WHITE POWDERY STUFF to feed my addiction!
I have a service manual for all 96 to 98 Poos. I'm not sure if your 95 is any different than a 96... if you find there isn't any difference then your in business. I don't think they made a 440XCR in 97 and my 98 has a domestic twin with VES so that is not the same as you 95. Here's what I have....
1996 440XCR SP Engine Model # is EC45PL08
1996 440XCR NON SP Engine Model # is EC45PL07
If you find you have a model # in your 95 the same as one of the above listed motors then I'm sure these torque #'s are good. I DO know these #'s are good for ALL 96 to 98 EC45PL motors.
Cylinder Head:
8mm = 17-20 ft. lbs.
10mm= 24-26 ft. lbs.
Cylinder Base Nuts:
24-28 ft. lbs.
Crankcase:
6mm = 108 in. lbs.
8mm = 17-18 ft. lbs.
10mm = 23-25 ft.lbs.
Flywheel:
60-65 ft. lbs.
All 7/16-14 Engine Mount Strap Bolts:
44-48 ft. lbs.
I'll attach a copy of the torque patterns also.... Hope this helps a little. GOOD LUCK!!
Anytime.... congrats on your conversion. I saw the light about 5 years ago, feels good!! Good luck with your rebuild and yell if you need any help... we Polaris folk look out for each other!! :thumbsup:
