I just installed a 1.5" track on my 01 MXZ 800. There is between 1/4" & 1/2" clearance above the upper bogie wheel in the rear. Is that enough? If not, what do I do?

I had a 1.5 on my 700 last year and noticed no problems with clearance. I didn't have any studs or screws in it though. I am installing the track in my "02 800 that I am riding this year. I loved it under my 700, it eliminated any looseness that I felt in the tail.

I put a 136" conversion 1.25" track on my 01 mxz 800, and with the large tunnel protector strips in the track lug tips would just slightly rub the tunnel strips. I went to the doo dealer with one of the upper idlers and we matched up a wheel that was 10mm smaller in diameter. The ones i put on were a little more narrow than the factory ones as well but they have worked great. I have a P/N if you need it

Thanks for the info. I would like that part no. if you don't mind. Do you know the manufacturer of the wheel? I went to the local dealer Friday to get a smaller wheel, but they said there was only one size available. SWRules

I forgot, that is the doo P/N. Most dealers stock them
