Thumbs up

Hey guys,
I was wondering if a shaft driven snowmobile would be possible? It would surely have more torque and probobly less required maintenance.

They are shaft driven. Do you mean some sort of gear drive? Elaborate!

I think the new Diamond Drive found on the new ZR 900 is a step in the right direction. If not for the big price tag I'd think about converting mine over.

Maybe you could build one with a dirt bike/ATV manual transmission. That would add a bit of weight though. And oh yea, you'd have a clutch and shifter too. :dazed:

was thinking about your question. its not impossible, but you still need a transmission of some sort and a gear reduction mechanism. so whats left, shafts.if you took a complete motor and trans off a bike and put in a sled it might be fessible, but not the way they are today.
