I have a 95 XLT that is idleing at about 4000 rpm and im not sure what the problem is. I started it this morning and gas was puking out the vent tube, that quit but now the idle is so hi ... any ideas ?

your floats are sticking or your needle jet is bad,,,, pull the carb and clean her up,,,, do the floats raise and lower with no stoppage??? if they do, its probably your needle jet,,,,
