my sled is getting to much oil, how do i lean out the injection strength, where is the cable? how is this adjusted? please talk me step by step how to do it. sorry about asking such a dumb question i could probably figure it out i have just been around premix for so long.
On the oil pump there is two lines (markings). One is on the lever that the cable pulls, the other is cast into the oil pump body. At idle these two lines should be lined up. This is the factory correct setting. Adjusting it is simple. I wouldn't recommend changing it on something thats not mine. If you choose to it's up to you.
:dazed: obviosly you haven't a clue so how would you know if the sled is getting to much oil or maybe you just need to jet if you play with that adjustment that sled will be sitin in the garage waiting for engine parts let a dealer mech do it
lets see how would i know well hmm..... after a 1/2mile run across the lake the plugs have to much oil deposit for my liking i like very very little oil deposit on my plugs. and after calculating how much oil/fuel it is using i came up with an estimate that it is running 25:1, that is to rich for me i always pre mixed between 45:1-60:1. also i know what i am doing just asking how to adjust the pump never really even looked before but anyways i went out and adjusted it last week and is perfect, calculated a 50:1 ratio which i like a lot seems to run a little better across the lakes. and i have the jetting spot on, egts are reading right around 1275. planning on putting on about 500 miles then tearing down the top end in a couple of weeks to check wash and for any signs of wear. so way i feel if i can competently set up an engine, tear down engines, and tune i can adjust the freakin injection system. i just asked one day because i was bored and basically did not feel like lookin around out in the trailer in -20 weather.
