I'm still trying to solve the heavy front end-heavy steering on my 04 renegade X. I've lengthened the limiter strap and added more preload to the center skid shock, this helps but one thing I see that’s different on this sled is the dual rate spring on this shock. It’s actually two separate springs with an aluminum collar between them. One is a very short light looking spring and the other is a heavy looking longer spring. Is this common? I've never seen it before on other sled’s and just looking around my dealer’s floor all the non-X models do not have them. It seems to me that with the first part of the travel on this lighter spring I’m always going to have heavy steering. What's the opinion on changing to a straight rate single spring and does anyone know how I could find the correct one?
Thanks
