driving home late Sat night (3am), and we drive up to flashing reds and we are thinking that someone had just gone off the road and they were pulling them out, not the case, turns out 2 sledders were riding down hwy #38 and came upon the road plow, according to the fellow that had us stopped to wait to go, the sledders didnt want to wait for the plow, so they decided to pass, one on the left and one on the right of the plow, well the fellow passing on the right slammed right into the wing plow, the rider is hurt but will live. they were not sure if alcohol was a factor, but figure it was, sled is toast, this all happened at approx 1am sunday, and they were just clearing the sled of the road at 3am when we come through.

the poster is crossing open water.....another person commenting is landing a big jump.....the plow thing would never happen to you because you're both responsible riders right?

What a jackass, some people are just plain stupid. Sad to think that regular people will put us all in the same class as these morons instead of realizing that we are not all as stupid as these 2 guys

Crap. I'm familiar with this area north of Kingston. My first thought is why didn't the injured rider see that the wing plow was extended. If they followed for any length of time they would have seen this. If they came upon the plow at speed and decided to overtake it....well??....Even passing on the left of the plow vehicle is a risk. Highway 38 is a "King's Highway", thus it's a major 2 lane road. It would have been scraped down to the asphalt thus making steering difficult to pass over the centreline. Passing on either side was a risk. I don't want to make any assumptions, but please folks "Keep your Head in the Game".
