Sounds good, I wonder if it gives as much detail on roads as the regular mapsource cd does. It would be nice but I dont have another $160 to spend just so I can see where the hills are . I want something that shows me where the Hydro-Lines are.

I am looking forward to this one myself, but I am hoping they'll have a preview on Garmin's website (like they have with their other maps) before I fork over the $$$.
I haven't seen a 'real' topo map on the Garmin. Is it going to be cluttered on the screen with contour lines? Is this something you can turn on and off?

hopefully u can turn the lines on anf off. i cant believe the mapsourse me and scott have doesnt have the hydrolines on it. I also find that some parts are detialed with every road and stream or water and then there are other parts of Nb that are not so mapped out as well.

Yes you can increase and decrease the detail. But on my eTrex it still ends up being kind of cluttered with all the contour lines and wetland shading. I have the TOPO maps for the UP loaded in but find myself using the R&R maps almost exclusively since the sled trails typically aren't on the TOPO maps anyway. Maybe the Canada version will be better.

I highly doubt it
I am pretty sure I will stick with the MetroGuide Canada and the enhanced basemap. The sled trails aren't on these either, but knowing there's a town or a road nearby is sometimes helpful.

That's all I ever need/use.

Yeah thats really weird how that is. I was looking at it today and it seems like theres a line at where they stopped mapping all the brooks and streams. There seems to be great coverage around central NB but other places only show lakes and rivers.
