Hi

I am looking to buy a Grand Touring 700cc 2002 with 5700 km on it. The sled looks in overall good condition, track looks OK, wheels also, no scratch, compression is 125 lbs on both cylinders. It comes with a brand new trailer (4 x 10). The guy ask 6800$ cdn for it. Is there anything I should know before buying it?? Like, what common problems does it have (or is it pefect . Any advice would be very appreciated. First time Bombardier buyer, I have a Yamaha Vmax4 in the moment.

Thanks a lot!

the 700 is a great engine.the sled is overall a good machine.I have not had any problems with my 700,or the 600 gt.

Based on the mileage and the fact that it is only in overall 'good' shape the price seems to me to be a little high.

Good sled, price seems about fair considering a brand new trailer is included too...

I paid 6200 for my wifes 600 new. it booked the next year for 4800 ,high. so they drop fast in value.the g.t is not one to buy unless you plan on keeping it.so I would go with what cory is saying price wise it might be to much.prices in u.s.

Thank you guys for the information. The price seems about fair to me as I have seen a lot of those sleds with a lot more mileage on them and they were selling for the same price, without the trailer. When I said the sled look in good condition, I was talking about the mecanical aspect. The body and trailer are in perfect condition. Some bombardier model were known to blow pistons pretty fast. I just wanted to make sure that this one is not one of them! Again, thanks to all who replied!

I have an '02 GT700 and it's been rock solid with no quirks. Contrary to some of the other replys, used 2-up sleds don't depreciate as quickly because the used market is not flooded with them, due to the fact that fewer new units are sold in comparison to other models. In other words, for used 2-up machines in good condition, demand is higher than supply which equates to slower depreciation.
If the machine you are looking at has been well maintained it should be very reliable.
Good luck with it if you take the plunge.

check the exhaust for cracks. mine was cracked at the seam at the bottom of the y-pipe...this is common on this model year. other than that, a great sled.
