Well actually I was thinking of stepping it up. I recently installed a Dynoport single pipe and V-Force reeds, although both manufacturers say to leave jetting alone I was worried about the combination. I posted a question on DOOTALK.com and they said fatten the mains. I was not going to make the change untill it got below 10 degrees.

I am still trying to find someone who has made the same change as me, seems simple with all the 01 700's out there, but no has responded with real experience on that sled, just recomendations.

BTW I only pulled the plugs once at the end of the season after 1000 miles and they were BLACK BLACK, looked like oil though.

I have heard from some people that I have 500's and some say 520's I want to order jets before dissasembly.

I need to fatten 1 size due to pipe and TPI valve, what size do I need 510N?

I have heard that the N desiganation is for the newwer jets that incriment correctly over 500?

I would clean the carbs and ride it to see if it needs more.I doubt you doo. most stock sleds could run two numbers under factory and be safe. stock jetting with your combo is good baseline ,and maybe what you need.

ditto, stock jets will be fine unless you opened up the airbox or something. Guys here were putting 480's in them with all sorts of mods and they still could have gone lower, big chickens. Most the new series3 are pretty fat on the main, on the dyno you see fuel spitting out the pipe and often see a fuel washed white plug that could scare someone into thinking they're lean. They run fine and do a good job of burning the extra fuel but there is always a little more snap in them jetting them down.

Well I tore it apart today, they are 520's, left them alone. I was told to add a .020 spacer under the needle to fatten up the midrange, I did but there was already a white nylon/plastic spacer under there, do all 2001's have this from the factory?

I don't know what kind of crudy gas people in other parts of the country are dealing with but the fuel in the bowls looked perfect no varnish or crud. I here people talking about how bad the insides of there carbs are in the fall, mine looked like I rode it yesterday.
