Today I've been out mudracing with my Niva
Unfortunately our 35'' tires got quite stuck in half a meter of mud/clay, and so we did something awful to the clutch.. Gotta love the smell of a burning clutch... But after that I really didn't think it was necessary for it to completely stop working

Oh well at least we had some hours of fun with our new little toy.. Now we're thinking of putting in a 2.6 ltr Ford v6 engine to double the horsepowers that we have now..

Interesting? Maybe not, just thought I'd tell you about my day

My brother & I used to play in the mud with our trucks back in the 80s. He got married & I got tired of spending more money & time wrenching it than driving.

He had a 84 GMC shortbox stepside with 44 inch Mudders on it. Don't ask me how much lift he had. 3" body lift.

My truck was an 82 GMC shortbox fleetside. I had 38s on it. 2 inch body lift & 6 inch suspension lift. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.

revrnd, would like to see a picture! we'll spend a lot of time wrenching and stuff on this thing. I can't express how suprised we were that the engine actually started at once. You should see this car, it's a pile of rust mixed with mud that we bought for around $300, and $200 more for the tires and new tubes.
Also driving this thing is kind of expensive even without having to buy new parts, the fuel! we consumed about 18 liters, and with those we've been going up some hills, and went thru about 100-150 meters of deep mud 4 times. I think those few meters took about 3 liters each time or something

mxz7, the co-owner of the "car" said that's what we should get, and I just assume it exists then.. He said it might even fit in, in some way And it could of course be that it's only used here in Europe.

Quite annoying is that today it's been raining all day so there'll be lots of mud available, and now we don't have a car and no time to fix it until after the weekend

Performance X, Lada sold them here in Canada for a few years. A very, very basic SUV (No offense Nico) I knew a couple of guys who used them for giung to there hunting camps. Not close to a Escalade *

I know it's not that much of a car, but we know we have the low-budget mudracing vehicle
This way we have more cash left for crossbikes and folkracing cars *
