I wanted to know the pros and cons to having a clear gas tank.

Does anyone know if a Rev style style gas tank would fit on a MXZ?

Does anyone know of a good website that sells the clear Ski-Doo gas tanks?

What would be a good price?

Pros of a clear gas tank, you always know how much gas you have left, no more guages to deal with. IT will also weigh less

Cons, they want some serious bling bling for these tanks. Buy one used if you can.

Exactly. I plan on putting one on my Rev Renegade because those gas guages are useless. You mise well call them a compass  . You would figure that Doo would have this figured out by 05

sunlight is bad on gasoline, so if your sled with a clear tank sits outside for a few weeks, your gas may turn to crap

I love the looks of the clear tank and have often thought about getting one. The part I dont like is what the tank looks like after a season, its usually yellowed or dirty, and marred up real bad.

No you can't see 'em they're clear
sorry couldn't refuse but ya I think long periods in the sun would not be good as far as weight savings I don't see how that little of a weight gain would justify the cost etc. Plus I think they make some sleds look like a hot rod that still needs body work especially green ones lol

Thanks for the information. I just learned that the racing clear gas tanks hold less gas than stock. Does anyone know the exact amount of gas a stock gas tank holds?

when u buy the clear tank from ski-doo u get a black cover that comes with it. leave it on or take it off. there's a little flap on the side and u can still see how much is in the tank. my clear tank looks like new even after a year. use some good cleaner and then it'll clean up just like new.

like rocketman said, there's no possible way a rev tank would fit on a zx sled, BUT they doo make clear tanks for zx chassis doo's. go buy one for a 440 race sled.
