Hey, i'm just in the midst if changing the coolant on my '94 stx 583, and i'm doing it by the manual. i syphened out all the coolant from the tank and as much as my hose would reach from the hose at the bottom of the tank.

then i jacked the back end up and pulled the bleeding screw at the top of the head and nothing came out. this is what i was supposed to do? then i removed the coolant hose that goes from the heat exchangers to the head off the head and jacked the sled about 4 feet in the air, and alittle dribbled out and that was it.

does this mean its cleaned out? can i start doing the procedure to add the new stuff? thanks. neil

Neil,
I'd fine the lowest hose on the sled and pull it off.Usually there is one that is down as low as the bottom of the motor. This should tell you.Pull the cap off and that hose and everything should come out............After refilling you'll want to raise the front of the sled and run it with the bleeder open to get all the air out.

Good luck,
Dan
