Hey Uni .. I just may be able to help you out. I live 40 mins west of the Toronto Airport (YYZ) and as of right now, I plan to head up Wednesday afternoon. However, I am only trailering to New Liskeard, a good 60 miles short of Kirkland Lake.
I run a regular cab pick up, it may be a bit of a squeeze (3 in the front) but I can load most of our gear in the trailer.
We'll stay in touch .... anyone who is coming all the way from Norway to participate in the SW ride deserves all the help we can give!!

I guess this means that u´re gonna sled from New Liskeard to Cochrane during the night. Might have to get a accomodation in NL for the night then. Have to se about this sience I have no idea how to get to NL to Kirkland Lake and pick up the sled in the morning. Any idea how to work this out the best way?

LadyK talked to Nick @Speedy's rentals today. He is familar with SW, they don't rent renegades anymore but do rent the new yammi Rage LT 4 stroke.
A possibilty is for Speedy's to drop Uni's sled off at the quality Inn in NL. If I remember right they were going to deliver a sled for us to cochrane for $100, so it might be cheaper to get it to NL. Just some ideas I have bouncing around in me head.

No Uni ..... I'm staying at the Waterfront Inn in New Liskeard on the Wednesday night, then riding to Cochrane on Thursday. As Perm said, maybe you could get your rental dropped off in NL. That way you could ride up with us on Thursday, I know the area and would gladly guide you.
There is also the (remote) option of driving to Kirkland Lake on Wednesday night, but I MUCH prefer the trailer parking and ammenities of New Liskeard, so don't count on it.
As I stated in the earlier post, lets stay in touch, if it turns out that we'll be travelling together, I'll arrange Wednesdays accomodations since I'll be booking them for myself anyway.
Have you already booked your room in Cochrane? If so, which hotel? When are you planning on returning to New Liskeard and on to Toronto? My current plan is to stay in Cochrane Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, ride back to New Liskeard on Sunday, stay again at the Waterfront, and drive back to Toronto on the Monday (March 7th.) Let me know how that fits with you ......
Michael

Hi Mike!
I havnt booked yet but its a chance that I´ll stay at the North Adventure Inn, ev though Perm offered me to stay at his room, but Im not sure I want to bug the old man (especially sience Im snooring ).
If I should take the bus after all, I guess its possible for us to join since u´re probably gonna pass Kirkland Lake on your ride north!?
The bus is arriving KL 09.55 so I should be ready to ride about 10.30 or so at least. But its a long time to Mars so we will have time to figure things out.
/Roger

Yes Uni, March is a LONG way away, but if I were you, I'd be booking soon. GOOD places to stay in Cochrane are somewhat limited and since it's well known for spring sledding they book up really early.
Let me know ........ I've already booked my rooms in both locations.
