When you put aftermarket pipes on any sled, you increase the air flow through the engine. More air = more gas = more power. If you go back to stock jets without returning the pipes to stock, you will be too lean. Lean is hot, and can cause you to melt a hole in the pistons. Stick with SLP's recommendation for jetting and spend your money on gas

I agree with Mike, as long as you get some plug reading before trying a 5 mile WFO blast down a lake on a -20f day. Suggest you try to get some good plug readings in some +20f weather, to see where you are at before getting crazy with it.

I would guess so, but you are most likely pushing it as far as the jetting is concerned with the pipe. As already mentioned, you'll need to do some testing.

I'm surprised that a couple of you think that running stock jets with a pipe will be fine. Are you assuming that the stock jets are way too rich and that once the pipe goes on it will bring the jetting real close?

Exactly..... as long as he does a little testing before running in colder weather.
