My brother's 02 ZRT 600's crank went out last year, his dealer rebuilt it. Now it has no power, it will only run at 7200 rpm's and normal is 8200. I cleaned the carbs, change the spark plugs and checked the mail and pilot jets, all ok.
The engine just doesn't sound right even at idle. It doesn't miss just no power.
I also checked the compression and all cyclinders are ok (more the 98 600 triple).
When I say no power my other brother's 550 ZL blew it away.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Are you sure it's firing on all three? Did it ever run right after the rebuild?

Best idea I can offer is for him to get it back to the dealer that rebuilt it pronto before theres no warranty left.

It is firing on all 3 as all pipes are getting hot and it doesn't miss that I can hear.
We plan to take it back tomorrow, hoping for a solution I could perform without getting too far into the engine, it is an 8 hr round trip.
Thanks for the advice guys.
