So I’m trying to get a belly pan protector/skid plate for my 1999 MXZ600. I figure that it’s cheap insurance from a stump or rock. I have a question about which one. I heard that hole shot makes a good one. I see that there are two types that fit the ZX chassis? Is this right? One just gives more protection, I assume? What do you guys think for a stock 1999 MXZ600. I think the black would look bad arse compared to the purple one. More protection too. Your thoughts?

It's a piece of plastic New Maine! Buy whichever makes you happy - sounds like the black one.

Have fun,

I know, I know. I just wanted to make sure that they fit my sled. Both are advertised for the zx chassis, but look way different. Thought you guys might know if they made two styles and when I was asking I thought I'd look for input on the color. I will refrain from my color cooridination questions going forward!!!

Definitly go with the large Holeshot, there well made and fit properly. The sled I just bought doesn't have one and has the belly pan crack and bent radius arm to prove it.

Go with the full length one. They protect the bulkhead and give some protection to the control arms and there mounting.

The big one is a full body skidplate, it covers the metal underneath the engine. The other one is more to contrast colors.

Is the full body plate harder to install? Just drilling through the plastic belly pan like the front?
