It finally happened. Good thing it was on the stand in the garage. Myold faithful 86 phazer's clutch stuck in high gear .I knew it was time for servicing.Anyhow 2 questions .1/ Are these easily serviced by a sledder who's worked on everything from old sno jets, ski doo, moto ski's etc. to many newer sleds. 2/ If not what would be a good replacement while while staying close to the same performance???

Cheers,Buzzyboy

Put a comet 108 EXP on it. You can buy the new comet plus all parts to callibrate cheaper than you can fix the oem.

I agree. While the newer Yamaha clutches are easy to work on most of it getting the parts you need will be a real pain. Going with the comet 108c would be a real simple switch and probably to a better clutch than the stocker you have.

Sonds like you bound up the bushing. Not an easy replacement part even on the new model.
