this is my second year with this thing and it still foules plugs. 3 sets over christmas. The one fuel update was done last year. is this normal or is there a cure. I use the skidoo synthetic oil, cas you run the cheaper skidoo oil. can you use br9es plugs instaed of br9ecs as they are alot chaper and i seem to buy alot of them. One other question is it normal for black stuff to be seeping between the cylinder and the head, the dealer told me it was.

Have you talked to the dealer with regards to your fouling problem?? Definitely not normal I would think. Those plugs up here are $13 a piece.

There is a new update for 2005 that actually does something. The updates last year did nothing good for my 04 SDI. This new update really leans these suckers out. I'm talking a LOT leaner. My plugs used to be just Black, now they are light tan. Its almost on the edge of burn-down. Sure is crisp now!
Get the update, because I have yet to foul a plug after this one. last year I killed 2 cases of plugs!

Now that's good news.
Funny how it seems to only effect some of the sleds?

good at least that will save some money, cause this thing is chaeap on fuel but way to expensive on spark plugs

Yea it would be nice to have a bulletin# for this update to tell the dealer.I asked about update early Dec. and got a small effort from the service guy, flashed through some updates then told me nothing was available.Mine only fouled 2 plugs before the first update but plugs run black when I check. Also make sure the oil pump is properly adjusted,Skidoo released a new method of setting it.
