We all have one guy in our group that is just annoying and ignorant, lets hear some of his stories, or your stories about him. should be good for a laugh.
We have one guy who is so brand loyal it is discusting. He rides cat, and would never own anything else cuase Cat is the fastest and the most reliable. Here are some of his wild tales from the past:
1) Before this year he rode a 1996 Panther 440fan, but becuase his dad used to race back in the day, it was genetic that he was a better rider and knew more than all of us about riding. He went as far as to say that my other buddies 2002xcsp600 couldn't keep up with him on the trails when they went riding. This just so happens to be the trip that he could never start his own sled and always had to have somebody in the group start it for him. He nicknamed this sled "High Performance Panther" and he is serious.
2) When the F7 came out he assured us all that it was the fastest sled EVER made. It also held the record for a mile long race. I guess machZ's, T-Cats, and XCR's are just mythical sleds.
3) Finally this year his dad baught a 1999 ZR600, and a 1996 ZRT600. His dad gave him the zert, unfortunately this sled is a work in progress, for all of us, and has yet to hit the snow. Anyhow, his dad was out racing his uncle and cuasins the other day supposedly, his uncle has a Mach1 700. The ZR was running side by side and sometimes beat the Mach, but NEVER lost to it. The Mach also has nothing wrong with it. Also, when he does get the zert running there will only be two sleds in our group that might stand a chance, is his causins F6 and another friends 2000 ZR with 711 black magic kit. My Ultra, which I have watched beat f7's, will not stand a chance against the f6 or his zert, according to him.
I am just waiting to hear how he walked a T-Cat with his ZRT!!! This kid is dillusional, but it does make for some good laughs for the rest of us. So lets here about yer stories (or his for that matter).

There's this one guy in the team renegade group who's sled has a fuel pump that freezes all the time, he crashes rental sleds, forgets his riding boots at home, gets stuck in the Team Renegade HQ driveway, drinks WAY too much diet coke and loses trailer wheels on the way to rides.
OH CRAP,
That's me..

My cousin used to go on trips with us and he's pretty annoying. Not the brand thing, or even about snowmobiles. Just plain annoying.
We always had to transport his sled, he never offered to drive or bring his own trailer. His sleds are older, and a couple times as we were getting ready to leave, he said that his sleds won't run, so he can't go. Someone in the group would bring an extra for him to ride. After he did this twice, we realized that he was doing this on purpose, as he wanted to ride a newer sled.
He came on one trip and waited until we got to the resort to explain that he had no money to pitch in for food, gas, lodging, etc. We had to pay for him and let him work it off.
He always had to control the conversation, loud, rude, etc. He'd make fun of everyone and laugh, but when we'd jab him, he'd get ticked and tell us off.
He's the guy that wouldn't help out with dishes, cooking, cleaning, or anything. He'd disappear when time came to start packing up.
Last year, we didn't invite him on our long trip. This year, we made everyone pay a deposit by a certain date. When the date came, he tried to tell us that he'd have it soon, but we've played his game before. Since he didn't have the money, he's not going to Canada next weekend with us.
He's only invited on day trips now. We have so much more fun without him!

Then there's the guy who's sled breaks down more than any other, because it is never maintained properly. This guy also happens to carry virtually not tools or supplies, no spare plugs, duct tape or fasteners.

That's why I save my old spark plugs. I carry a few old ones to give to a "plug borrower" that never carries spares and then forgets to replace my new $9 BR9ECS plugs.

general rule of thumb is that if there's no annoying guy in your group, that means you're him.

We have one guy in our group that would change hits jets at least 6-8 times in an afternoon. We were always stopping and waiting because he was running too lean or he was loading up. It didnt make for much fun or long rides. I finally convinced him to by a vari flow, and now we can ride without fear of having to stop for jetting changes.

Tried to do the RAP trip in Ontario. One guys had a POS '86 (I think) Indy 400 w/ a refresh rebuilt motor, that should have been in the wreckers. How the guy thought this machine would last 600 miles, is beyond me. Well he holed a piston on day 3 about halfway thru the trip. He didn't even have a plug wrench on the sled.
