Never had the sled but had the 670 in my 96 Grand Touring and it was an awesome powerplant, never let me down and sold it running perfect with very high mileage.

I've got a 97 and love it.The 96s had a slightly smaller gas tank and still had the small diameter recoil which made them a bear to pull over.I think the 97 and up recoil can probably be put on the 96 though. The 96s were a pretty limited build. If its in good shape and a good price go for it.

The 96s were a limited build and very similiar to the 97 except for a few updates. They had the SC-10 suspension.
