I'm planning to purchase a Klim Valdez parka, and am wondering if they're suppossed to fit a little snug. The Large, which is my normal size, seems tight around the chest and short in the sleeves. The XL is a little swimmy. I normally like to layer in the colder weather, and would usually go for the larger fit in this case. I'm just wondering if these particular jackets are supposed to fit differently. Any input from Klim wearers would be apprreciated.

Mine is a little snug as I wear a vest under it , purchased after I got my jacket. Would have liked to have a little more room in it. Triied one on at their booth at the show in the fall and they were recommending a loser fit than mine is currently.
Why not ask them?

bigger should always be better
A little more air space provides more insulation.
