MORE INFO HAS BEEN ADDED PLEASE HELP
I can ride my sled for 30 min to an hour then it quite just like if you hit the kill switch. Any ideas on what the problem is would really help me.

Thanks for the ideas I will give them a try.
Here is some more info that may help you:

My sled is a 1980 John Deere 440 Trail Fire.

After the sled quites it will start again after a couple minites or 20 or 30 pulls whatever comes first. But you will only get 100 feet or so then it will quit again. Then I go through the same procces again. Make it another 100 feet or so and it quite again. Once I get it back to the shed 100 feet at a time and leave it for the night. The next day I am good for 30 minite to an hour. Then it will quite the same as the day before. I can be going full throttle half throttle of hardly moving when its time is up it will quite. The Plugs are new. :bash:

Any other ideas will really help.

Check your CDI, mine did the same thing and I had a bad CDI. Once it got hot it just quit.

my secondary coil had similar bad habits when it was on the way out. why not just change cdi and coil?...older sled, would probably need both soon anyhow!!

I would first take the gass tank off and dump, flush it, change filters. Then really clean the Carb. This would be a easy fix if it does not work then go for the above suggestions. Gas lines might be collapsing on you also.......my 2 cents worth....
