My dad is looking to upgrade from his 2001 MXZX 800. He'd would like to have the new REV Chassis.
He say's he doesn't need an 800 again. Maybe the 600. I've heard people like the 600's better and they are just as fast? Probably like to go with an MXZ X again?
He is 51 years old. We do mostly trail ridding on REAL bumpy trails here in Buffalo, NY.
What sled would you recommend? Something comfortable with great suspension and power. What year sleds are better. Are the REV's better in 2004 since they been out a year? Or pretty much the same as the 03's.
What should he get?
Your input is greatly appreciated,
Brent

I'd go w/ an 04 or newer. I've heard that the adrenaline sleds have a better suspenion than the X sleds. If he wants a 600, the 500ss has plenty of power(600 non ho) or go w/ the 600HO SDI. I don't think you can go wrong w/ any rev. Can't remember what engine had the ring problems. Was it 03 and the 04's? Check that issue out before purchasing one.

it was the 03 04 and some 05's that had the ring problen on the 600 rev's. i havent rode a 600 but i have spent alot of time on an 03 800x and it is smooooooooooth you feel way less bumps on that then you do with my o1 adrenaline 800. oh and the 03-04 800's had a motor recall so the motor dont even have the miles it says it does. imo the rev 800 is an awesome machine and i am sure if i rode a ss or ho i would feel the same about them also

Whats the differecne between the HO SDI and HO. I think he would feel cooler on a 800? But if the 600 ride better or are just as good they would do fine.
Thanks again!

HO stands for High Output. SDI refers to the fuel delivery. SDI sleds are fuel injected, while just plain HO sleds are carberated. The SDI system (Semi-Direct Injection) gets good fuel mileage and are just as powerful as the carbed models.
As far as the chassis goes, the only difference is in 2003 the rear end was different, but they changed it for 2004 just because some people didn't like the look of it and has stayed the same ever since. I would recommend any rev machine, as they are all pretty good. If he can find a 2003.5 Blair Morgan, I would recommend that one as I love mine, but then again, I'm biased.
