I have a friend I am trying to help out with a delima. He has a project sled he is working on and making due with parts from certain sleds.
He got a good deal on a 2000 zr 600 engine and found out after the fact that he needed a T.P.S. to make the engine timing advance properly. So he has gotten creative with a cable from a tripple sled and used the third cable to run the T.P.S. made a special box to mount the sensor and is operating it in this manner. The question remains as to the settings of this sensor and he hasn't gotten much info from his artic cat sources. Sooooo.... How many degrees does the sensor travel throughout its range? Can this sensor be set up like the polaris sleds using a voltage source to achieve a certain voltage at a certain setting. He is getting close to making it work and we are still looking for the right parts but in the meantime does anybody have any helpful sources for info on this engine and its settings relative to the T.P.S. I won't be able to reply til later today but will be looking forward to any replies. Thanks
