Hi Guys/Gals
Thought I'd post this question in the AC section so as to eliminate any off brand stuff. I have a reason for asking but before I reveal it I'd like to know your opinion, in completely stock form except for studs, which is faster? Either could be EFI or carb, your choice?
Thanks

an f6 would maybe stay with the f7 for maybe 800 feet or less. then the f7 would pull away.

Stock / stock the 600 will pull the 700 low to lower mid range then the 700 will truck on by but once they reach top end they get very close again.
Once clutched properly an '03 / 04 F-7 is long gone however most the '05s seem to be somewhat lacking top end so far.

No, I'm not trying to be smart 'butt', thought I'd post this question in the AC section to get an honest answer from the owners of these sleds themselves.
Perhaps I'll clarify the question. In a quarter mile drag race, completely stock except for the addition of studs, which sled would be quicker to the finish line?
Why did I ask???? We had a local winter carnival that included drags races, stock and modified categories. Unfortunately they relied on the honesty of the competitors to rate themselves as there was no 'Tech check'. Well there was an EFI F6 in the stock category that took the 600 class easily, took the 700 class over all others including an F7, and trounced most of the 800 class. The owner of the sled claims it's stock, I disagree, hence the question. What do you guys think, is a stock F6 that quick?

to me sounds like it could have a few tweeks in it. reprogramed ecm just for drags. timing key and or fuel pressure regulator. all these together and tuned on a dyno will bring a f6 or f7 alive. 22 to 25 hp increase. planning on doing mine before next fall.

I would have to say it isnt stock also,,,, the 600 stock produces less HP than the 700,,,, what were they racing on,,, what size lugs,,, what size drivers,,,,, I guess there are other things to take into consideration here,,,

Of course I don't think he's stock, thats why I asked the question. I gave him the benefit of doubt since I truly wasn't familiar with the F6's although I've heard from the guys on the site many times how quick an F7 is. How quick was this F6?? Took my sons 800 MXZX by four lengths. I didn't want to post this question in the General section like i said because I didn't want to start anything, just wanted some honest Arctic Cat experienced answers. Thanks guys, sounds like I have the truth, as I expected.
