I'm thinking bout venturing into Arctic Cat cuz i'm so sick of the look of all the revs being the same. I'm thinking of a 2003 or 04, did the 03's have as many problems as the F7's did? Does anyone know of any for sale? Your help could make me an Arctic Cat fan!

Don't all the Fcats/Scats look same too :dazed:
The big issue with the F5s is the APV cables
Guy/dealer out in North Bay Ont had his Stock F5 clocked at over 111mph yes one hundred & eleven

FreezerBurnt, Yes they do look the same as well but you see many less than you do revs. It's seems like every corner you come around there is another rev and to me they all look the same. However everytime i see firecats they always have something different about them. Also i rode an F7 and it was just so fast, and felt so light. I rode a 05 REV "X" 600 HO SDI and it just felt so big.

Good choice. If you do find a F/Cat I would recomend pulling the pipe off and having a look inside @ the pistons and cylinders. Just the pipe, not the Y pipe. It's only 6 springs. Look for scuffing on piston, It's common. This could save you hundreds of dollars for a two minute look. Trust me on this one. Also look at the clutch rollers, not much good after 4500 miles.(if you find a 600 for a few hundred $ more go for it, you won"t be dissapointed, especially the early release one in 03.)

you wont be dissapointed with an F-cat I dont know of any problems with the F5 but the 03s are the fastest. Unless compared to an 05 they are faster than 04 if they are stock. Better clutching I think.
