I have a few questions, first do all round slides have carb sensors?

To run round slides on a machine equipped with rack flatslides do I need a new CDI?, any other parts?

Will 39.5mm round carbs benefit a 992 with 38mm flat slides enough to bother?

Just guesses, but in order asked: yes, no and probably not. Add UFO's to the round slides and they might make a closer comparison to the flats.
