How about $ 6888.00 US ....

I think all the bad inital publicity is really driving the price down. I am planning on buying a 06 even though it is a lot more because of all the revisions.

Do some shopping!

Sad thing is in the same advertisement there are a couple of guys trying to sell privately in the $10-11,000 range, then the dealer completely undercuts them. Must be some pretty teed off owners.

Not sure if you can classify them as junk just yet. They have some problems definitely but can't help wonder if the factory can update and repair the biggest complaints? If indeed the engine mounts are the culprit hopefully 05's can be retrofitted and if such is the case they could become a real bargain.

I feel bad for people dishing out hard earned money for a new toy, just to be disapointed in the machine, and then the manufacturer goes and does a mound of improvements. If manufacturers want us to spend money on first year machines than perhaps they should do more r&d before the they rush the machine out.
I really think Polaris owes these first buyers a rebate on the difference in value of their machines, or give them all the new upgrades free of charge, including the four injector engine mod.

Don't imagine Polaris would update to the four injector system on the 05's, that would require large $$$$$, new cylinders, wiring harness, ECU etc...
As for the mounts I'm sure what ever they come up with for 06 will be retrofitted. It is a real shame about the value though, feel sorry for the faithful who put there trust is a first year machine. Me personally, never buy the first offering.
