I have an 01 MXZ800 with mild work done to it. I mostly trailride. I want to make it faster out of the hole and in a 300 foot drag. Does anyone know what is the stock gearing I have in this sled and what would you recomend? Thanks

I have 3 top gears and a 1 bottom gear out of that exact sled. Stock is 26/43 I beleive I have 1 23 tooth just for grass draging wich requires a shorter chain, and 25 tooth. I dropped a tooth on top from stock, got a better hole shot and did not loose on top end. I also have the stock chain that is in great shape. I will ship all 4 gears and both chains for chain for $75. E-mail me at labuhnj@dteenergy.com

26/43 is the gear ratio ...i can tell you that 25/43 makes no diffirence ...

If 0-300' is what you want then a 21 or 20 top and 44 or 43 bottom will do it. If you use a 21/44 a 70 pitch chain works great with little bend. 23/43 is as small as you can go with a 72 pitch but I think you are running a 74 pitch so just add 2 to my figures.
