What do you mean? *I observe the JUly4 by watching fireworks, Thanksgiving I eat turkey, what do you do for 9/11?
Now that I think about it, if we don't get the day off of work (it's not a HOLIDAY), it's not worth observing.

Geez, I hope that came out wrong, and he doens't really feel that way.

I don't believe that my American Friends get a day off work on Dec. 7th either, but I think many of them still observe it in one way or another.

Hey, we all want more days off work, but I don't think that should be the precident whether to observe the sacrifice of thousands of your country men/women or not.

Talking

There must be a misunderstanding. *No American would want those 5,000 families to hear him say that day is not worth observing...surely not. *The words must have come out wrong.

Guys he must mean because it was such a disaster and so cruel that it shouldent be made a big deal of because of the heartache it may cause again, by seeing those people suffer and the familys and friends that will surely be very emotional due to it being the first year marking of 9/11, or at least i hope thats what he is implying. * * It will indeed be a sad day all over again for all of the world or at least most of the world anyway * you know what i mean

I'll have a private moment of silence when I get up. *Then I plan on observing 9/11 in this manner - up to my elbows in 43 year old car gunk!!

Point? *The losers that attacked us tried to change how we live. *I'm going to state in my own way that they've done no such thing, and I'll live the same way on that day as I would have if 9/11 had never happened.
