We use to prune off old posts once they became 4 or 5 months old. We have not done this lately, as we have found that it really doesn't effect forum performance.

Now that we run a better server, we don't have any plans at this time of pruning the forums. Some of the past data on the forums would be considered by some as valuable.

And the new forum software coming soon will allow for better searching of the forums.
