Just wondering how everyone felt about this subject. My personal opinion is that on a familly orientated site, we should all be trying to stress the safety factor, and that it is our responsibility to ALWAYS meet ALL reasonable safety measures.

Makes no difference to me if some moron wants to crack his skull open. One less moron on the trail live and let live who cares.

Oh and let me add I have been a moron many times in my life last year I went for a rip on a ATV without a helmet. We all do dumb things its human nature.

Riding without a helmet should be like drinking and driving/riding. If you mess your ride/head up in a crash, your insurance and medicare should be out of pocket. Same with seat belts. Then you have a choice...ride safely or pay for your own mistakes. Seems reasonable to me. I don't agree with over-protective "nanny" laws, but I don't want my tax dollars paying for you either.

If you go to the Yammi forum someone has a video clip riding without a helmet. Look at the 1st response to that post and it will answer a lot of the questions about this post.
