Question...... I have an 2001 xc 800 edge, I would like to replace the seat with the much smaller Pro-x 2 or the switchback seat? will eather of these seats work with my sled? I'm thinking the Pro-x 2 would? And would the diffrent tail light connection be diffecult?

I also am looking to do a similar switch. I have a 2002 xc sp edge and wanted to know if a 2003 pro x 440 short style seat or even a 2005 switchback seat would fit my machine. Can anyone provide any advice on this? Thanks.

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure they will fit. I have seen many pictures of shorty pro x seats on other edge sleds. Good Luck, and take some before and after pics!

Ive got a Pro-X seat on my '01 XC. It bolts right up.
I think that if you get an X-2 or XR seat you have to drill new bolt holes though.

The Pro-X seat is a HUGE improvement, IMO. Its so much more comfortable and its a lot easier to transition from sitting to standing.

i found my seat sat too low and caused my back and knees to ache.so what i did was found another old seat that wasnt in good shape at all removed the foam out of it then i cut it in half lenght ways and placed it over my existing foam on my sleds seat then just recovered it.now i sit higher and the ride is alot nicer.jsut a thought incase you didnt find one at a decent price.
