I don't know what the future holds but I have recieved work that Talleys Log Cabin Bar has been sold, along with Bob's Corner, Red Wood Steak House, and the Villager restaurant. I don't know for a fact but a neighbor there emailed me and told me. Bob's Corner has been shut down altogether. ??? :0:

Probably because there isn't enough snow over there to bring in the business. Then on top of that, there is only one trail going into Lewiston and it is always so beat up and dirty that I for one dont even waste my time going there anymore. You got to go west of 75 [Frederic-Mancolona] to get into the real snow.
Not to cut Lewiston down, but they dont accomadate sledders worth a damm and the snow is usually poor. I will give Lewiston Marine a big thumbs up, great place!

Chuck over there is a really good guy, really helpful to a sledder he doesn't even know.

I had the pleasant expierience of visiting Talley's and the Red Wood last season, great food, great service, I disagree that the trail going into Lewiston is beat up, maybe on Sunday after a weekend without snow but everyone there is friendly. Muskrat Lake trail is a great trail for me!

BTW: Does anyone know if Talleys' will be open this weekend? My uncle is planning on meeting some friends there but if they are not open....

I sold my 809 today to a guy that said he did his best riding last year in Lewiston in late feb and march. He said that there wasn't tons of base but that they kept getting several inches every couple days. And no ome else was on the trails as they all had all given up on the season.

My neighbor there says that only Bob's Corner has been closed. Everything else is still open, for now. ???

You can find some excellent riding on the east side 'IF' you hit it just right.
It has happened a time or two in the past as long as you dont run into dozens of idiots on four wheelers ripping the trail to shreads.
I have also seen the snow rather sparse over there but with no one there eating up the snow it was pretty good! All in all I would rather ride in knee-waist deep snow that the west side has......
