Water pump went out . bad rings good pistons

would it be ok if i hone out my jugs and use the same pistons with new rings

Hey man

sure you can hone your cyls and use new rings as long as there is no scarring to the pistons or cyls , if there is you better bore and put new pistons and rings.[I]

like polairs dave said NO scoring on pistons or cylinders. also clean ring grooves so rings will float freely with no binding. I would check port champher also. good luck. * * * * * * snowmobster

you guys are right i never thought it was that bad. polaris dealer said it was time for a big bore. sad but happy. now i get more power
