Hey....

Looking at buying a 06 500SS trail, but I will be replacing the shocks right away. I am thinking about getting a set of "X" package shocks, but was wondernig if they will bolt right on or do some adjustments have to be made.

Also, any suggestions on other types of good shocks out there that will fit and do as good a job as the "X"'s.

Thanks

06s have the lowered front end. Just get the 06+ X shocks- they'll bolt right in. They may be a tad soft if you plan on really pounding it, but they can be easily revalved.

My friend just bought fox floats for the front and fox zero pro for the rear of his 06 500ss . I will post pics. and let you know how it works for him after the snow flies.

ya, he dropped about 1000.00 in shocks, but those trail shocks are junk from the day you buy them, I can't wait to try it out.
