I was given a 1987 yamaha excel, it's for the kids, anyway I have a 1998mxz583 and just use the regular injector oil, mineral oil I guess it's called, Just want to have 1 brand of oil around if possible, the yamaha oil has a blue tint to it vs my ski doo oil is brown. I would like to use the skidoo oil in both sleds do you see any problems with that?

Thanks Paul

you won't have any problems at all

if you're REALLY concerned, run the yamaha down almost empty, then dump in the ski doo or whatever other oil you plan to use and you'll be fine.

differant colors is just dye the manufactures use, any TCW 3, 2 stroke oil is fine in ether sled.
It is best to run most of one oil out before changing brands though, some have differant additives that might have a reaction with one another, but thats more so with the syntetics.

If you run the Skidoo oil in the Yamaha, you'll be gauranteed to gain 3-7 HP.

Indeed,
Ha, in my area it's almost 85-90% polaris, so I always put up with being the only skidoo, but I'm proud of it. I'm also going to put skidoo chaincase oil in it, that should get me an additional 3 hp.

If you can get Amsoil Chaincase Oil, it's cheaper than the synthetic oil that 'doo sells.
