if the spring came out of ur recoil they are a ##### of a thing to get back in...but if the spring is broke get a new one and wind the recoil rope back up and see if it works...try that and if that isn't the prob...let me know and i'll try to help...

A recoil can be a challenging, even dangerous thing for somebody that's mechanically challenged. Taking it off the sled for a trip to the repair shop shouldn't be that big a deal though. That could save you a ton of money, and keep stress levels withing range?
